Scholarships

Our scholarship programs are designed to support students with diverse needs and backgrounds, offering opportunities for those who demonstrate academic excellence, financial need, or exceptional community involvement.

Scholarships and grants are designed to support a student’s education by providing “gift money” that does not need to be repaid. At American School of Leadership (ASL), scholarships are available both from internal funds and external civic, private organizations, and foundations. These opportunities are awarded based on various criteria, including academic interests, financial need, outstanding academic performance, or the student’s/parent’s employment background.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Many students find it beneficial to discuss their personal situation with one of our advisors to better plan and prepare for the application process. The steps are as follows:

  1. Download the Scholarship Application Form available here .
  2. Complete the application truthfully and attach proof of eligibility along with any additional documentation that supports your case.
  3. In addition to the scholarship-specific requirements, the following documents (as applicable) should accompany your application. If the student is dependent, parents’ documentation applies:
    • Driver’s license or passport
    • Proof of residency
    • W-2 forms (for U.S. citizens and residents) and other annual income records
    • Records of child support (if applicable)
    • Documentation of participation in study or need-based work programs
    • Records of previously awarded grants, scholarships, or financial aid
    • Current business records (if applicable)
    • Official bank statements for the last three months

  4. The administration will review the submitted scholarship package and notify applicants within two weeks via email.
  5. If approved, students will receive an email with the scholarship approval letter. Parents (or guardians, if applicable) must sign and return the approval letter within 5 business days. Failure to do so will result in the offer being transferred to the next eligible applicant on the waiting list.

SCHOLARSHIPS WITHDRAWAL AND REENTRY POLICY
Scholarship recipients who withdraw from the university forfeit any undisbursed scholarship funds earned prior to their withdrawal. However, if they re-enroll and continue to meet eligibility requirements, they can begin earning scholarship funds again after completing their first term back at the university.
